Q: Can I stop by uninvited?

Definitely! We welcome guests to visit, for free, up to 3 of our meetings. We
meet every Monday from 6:45pm to 9:00pm.

• Dress Code: No blue jeans or cut-off T-shirts. This is also a Vancouver
  Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club (VLTBC) rule. “Business Casual”
  dress is in line with Racquenteurs club character
• Parking: The parking lot in front of VLTBC entrance and the
  underground parking are reserved for VLTBC members only. Street
  Parking is available on Pine, 14th & 16th Av.
• Meeting Time: Meetings start at 7:00 pm sharp. Latecomers, please
  enter quietly through the rear door and find a chair near the back of
  the room.
• Electronic Devices: Power these OFF before you enter the building
  (VLTBC rule)

• The Lounge: VLTBC has extended use of the lounge to Racquenteurs
  on Monday night; Food and beverages are available.
  

Q: When are your blackout dates?

The last 2 weeks of December. We do not meet in July and August. Meetings
resume the week after Labour Day. There are no meetings on Mondays falling on a statutory holiday.

Q: Do I need to have any experience speaking in public?

Not at all. Most of our members start off as guests with little or no formal
training in public speaking and build from there. All you need is a desire to
improve and motivation!

Q: What kind of club is Racquenteurs?

Racquenteurs Toastmasters is a non-profit, business-casual public speaking
club and a part of Toastmasters International (District #21, Club #9740).

Q: Why join Racquenteurs and not another club in Vancouver?

We encourage guests to visit other clubs to find the one that suits them
best. After visiting other clubs however, guests often come back to
Racquenteurs because of the friendly people, business-casual atmosphere
and the very comfortable, professional setting.

Q: How much will it cost for me to join Racquenteurs?

The total cost of membership for one year is $250 CDN. For new members
there is also a one-time fee to Toastmasters International of $35.

Q: Are there any fun social events for Racquenteurs Members?

Yes - one of the favourite events is our Summer BBQ and Christmas party.
